Ce travail a été engagé comme une tentative rapide de résoudre la difficulté de la "triple TATWEEL question". Il était basé sur l'agrément déjà discuté sur la liste WG-IDNABIS que l'IDNA serait aisément résolu par un service de "présentation".

This work has commenced as a quick attempt to solve the difficulty of the triple TATWEEL question. It was based on the already discussed agreement that IDNA would be easily addressed by a "presentation" service.

L'approche initiale concernant un seul document:

• introduisant l'adressage sémantique et documentant sa syntaxe et ses propriétés (y compris leur pile internet et un couche "présentation").
• montrant comme les adresses sémantiques sont supportée par les différentes technologies, y compris l'internet.
• introduisant la manière dont l'Internet a implémenté sa couche "présentation".
• documentant comment la Charte du WG-IDNABIS a déjà défini l'IDNA dans le cadre de cette couche "présentation".
• expliquant comment des services additionnels peuvent résulter d'une approche plus générale d'un DNS rendu multiniveau, à travers à son tour l'utilisation de la pile interne des adresses sémantiques.

The initial approach was a single document:

• introducing the semantic addressing and documenting its syntax and features (including their internal pile and a presentation layer).
• showing how semantic addresses are supported by different technologies, including the Internet.
• introducing how the Internet has implemented its presentation layer.
• documenting how the WG-IDNABIS Charter has already defined the IDNA within that respective presentation layer framework.
• explaining how additional services would result from a comprehensive approach of a MultiLayered DNS, in turn supporting the semantic address internal pile.

Le propos était, pour des utilisateurs pilotes ayant un acquis architectural et sémiotique,

• d'aider les membres expérimentés de l'IETF à produire une meilleure documentation d'IDNA2008
• l'espoir qu'ils puissent alors l'adapter à leurs propres besoins qu'IDNA2008 pourrait ne pas supporter, tel que pour ".fra" (un projet de zone primaire pour la langue française).

The target was, for lead users with an architectural and a semiotic background,

• to help the IETF’s seasoned members of the WG-IDNABIS produce a better IDNA2008 document.
• to hope that they might then adapt to their own needs, such as for the ".fra" (a French language top zone project) IDNA2008 would not support

Changement d'objectif

Toutefois, le sujet s'est avéré extrêmement ambitieux pour un seul document. D'autre part, un autre forum indépendant avec une expérience et une expértise considérable était établi en parallèle (la [Louis Pouzin Society (PSOC), qui apporterait très probablement une troisième perspective au processus de découverte d'un consensus ainsi engagé pour l'achèvement d'une meilleure architecture pour l'internet.

Change in the objective

However, the matter became excessively large for a single document. Then, another independent forum with considerable experience and expertise was initiated in parallel (the Louis Pouzin Society (PSOC)), most probably bringing a third perspective to the resulting "consensus uncovering process" engaged towards a better Internet architecture completion.

Les participants ont, en conséquence, décidé de

• réorienter leur stratégie d'influence
• pour s'engager dans un effort complet de compréhension, documentation, dévéloppement, test et déploiement de :
  • l'extension Internet PLUS pour compléter la state Internet,
  • la strate Intersem, c'est à dire de la contribution sémiotique de l'écosystème numérique.

The participants have, therefore, decided

• to switch from a strategy of influence
• as well as to engage in a complete effort of comprehension, documentation, development, testing, and deployment of:
  • the Internet PLUS extension to complete the Internet strata,
  • the Intersem strata, i.e. of the digital ecosystem semiotics contribution.

Cet effort sera hébergé par l'IUCG, et par l'IETF si elle le désire. Il représente pour les utilisateurs pilotes, et les chercheurs appliqués bénévoles, une charge important dans leur économie personnelle et professionnelle.

This effort will be hosted by the IUCG, and by IETF, if they so desire. This represents for the concerned lead users, and voluntary applied searchers, an important change in their personal and business economy.

Experience acquise

Le premier effort de formalisation a aussi montré la besoin d'un changement complet dans leur approche elle-même,

• d'un souci d'influence basée sur une dynamiqe notionnelle, qui semble plus familière à l'anglais.
• à celui d'une documentation devant être basée sur l'invariance conceptuelle, qui apparait plus propre au français.

D'autant plus que l'adressage sémantique doit intégrer clairement ces deux approches : en fait, cette bipolarité dynamique notionelle/invariance conceptuelle, rythmera probablement toute la compréhension fondamentale qui sera utilisée.

Acquired experience

The first document formalization attempts also shown the need for a complete change in their approach,

• from influence based upon notional dynamic, wich seems more familiar to the English language.
• to documentation having to be based upon conceptual invariance, which appears to more typical to the French language.

Moreover, the semantic addressing is to bridge both: actually this nional dynamic/conceptual invariance bipolarity will probably rythm the fundamental comprehension that will be used.

Un Draft Internet PLUS a été engagé. Il documente pour l'instant la partie noms de domaine. Et permet d'engager l'IETF sur le terrain de la discussion d'une proposition concrète.

A Internet PLUS Draft has been prepared; For the time being is only documents the domain name part. It permits to start discussion a concrete proposition with the IETF.
