IUWW
From IUCG - Internet Users Contributing Group
IUWW (pronounced Iyououhaouha) stands for the IUsers' Working Wiki. They are the basic working method of the IUse community coupled with mailing lists, Skype conference calls, and use of the IUWW discussion page.

Title
Their title can be:
- the name of a document or an IUser contribution,
- "WIKI" plus the name of a document or a matter,
- "IUWW" plus the name of a document or a matter. This is the recommended approach for what may last and in turn result in a "BUD" (Best Use Document).
In either case they should be understood as an "IUser's Working Wiki on the topic of a document or a matter".
Purpose
Their purpose is to gather all the material documenting the discussion ahead: copies of the text and or the various texts and contributions to be explored, synthesized, reviewed etc. and of the proposed conclusions to the community.
The debate may happen in discussion pages and result in colored inserted additions from the IUCG. They are gathered and managed by the Monitors of TWPs (Topic Wiki Pages). TWPs are the portals to a given Topic. Monitors are volunteers who share the management of the IUCG site under the control of the iucg@ietf.org facilitator.
NB: "BUD"s are a "Best Use Document" suite published by the members of the IUse community to the best permanent use of its members at large. Each BUD is assigned a Monitor who edits its IUWW in cooperation with IUsers.
Copyrights issues
Every IUWW can be modified or restored by Monitors. They should be legally considered, just as are the public mailing list archives.
- Quoted sources are subject to copyrights on a research fair use basis without any obligation to stick to the original text: no copyright mentions are, therefore, included in what is a working/research document, but the origins and modifications should be clearly hinted at in the text, and a reference section should be provided when the IUWW starts formalizing. Links to the documents should be included when possible. Readers can use the historic section to know the evolution of a text since its IUWW inception.
- Contributions are subject to the site's copyrights. IUse community sites are in the public domain. The IUCG site is subject to IETF ISOC's copyrights. It is advised to publish important contributions on an IUse community public domain site first. In such a case, when the IUCG publishes as an IETF I_D to contribute to the IETF work, what is protected by the ISOC's copyright is the format and the presentation but not the concepts that are in the public domain.
Note on IETF I_Ds and RFCs
The main problem that IUsers have identified with the IETF and other SDO's documentary system is the scattering of information (concepts, specifications, best practices, How To, MANs, etc.) throughout different unrelated and not maintained documents. This is not what IUsers need. This is not the way they want documentation and referents to be presented, whether for working on them or when using them. One of their objectives is an MDRS system (Metadata Registry System) that can be ISO 11179 (English|Français) conformant.
As a space of liaison between the IUse community and the IETF and through it with other SDOs involved in the whole/world digital ecosystem (WDE), the IUCG tries to maintain RFCs or RFC sets under the IUWW format. It also permits IUsers to formalize an IUWW as an IETF Draft that may be more convenient to the IETF community.
Publicity
From now on, IUWWs should mention this iuww introduction.
