ML-DNS means a multilayered approach of the domain names, in which the Internet DNS is the lowest layer. The layers above are oriented towards presentation, applications and usage. As such it provides an off-the-shelve multilinguistic and quasi unllimited namepaces and systems diversity support.

It should strive to insure everyone, every script, every presentation, every application, and every language the same QoS as the legacy DNS provides to English ASCII US users.

The Internet legacy core of the ML-DNS is the monarchical DNS (Domain Name System) as used under the NTIA class root file. By nature the ML-DNS is heterachical. Its use of the legacy DNS zones is hierarchical and centered in the various class roots.
